Pfizer Baton Challenge

More than 350 Sandwich colleagues came out in force to support the ‘Pfizer Baton Challenge’ in support of Sport Relief 2014. With the company donating £2 for every colleague who passed the baton, that’s a contribution of £700 towards Pfizer’s total UK donation!

The baton, which was passed through all Pfizer UK sites, was delivered to Discovery Park House on the morning of Wednesday 12th by Senior Speciality Account Manager Karen Ashenden. On arrival, colleagues formed a human chain, which reached the full length of the ground floor with the baton eventually reaching a number of colleagues in laboratories and various meeting rooms on the first floor before making its way to the Process Development Facility (PDF) and Florey Chain House.

The goal of the challenge was to pass the baton from Cornwall to Glasgow, through all four UK nations, taking in Sandwich, Walton Oaks and Havant. A huge congratulations to all those who took part in the challenge and helped to raise vital funds for charity.

This is just one of many great stories from a site continuing to set the pace for #science + #enterprise in #kenttwitter.com/i/web/status/8…
