Tenant Consultation

In March, an exhibition for tenants which showed the ‘master plan’ of planning application proposals was displayed in Discovery Park House.

Around 60 people attended and the reception of the exhibition was very positive - 54 feedback forms were completed and there was a lot of interest in the further evolution of the park.

The feedback survey revealed that tenants feel that it is important to introduce a range of new uses to Discovery Park and to enhance pedestrian, cycle and public transport links. Developing the physical and working relationship between Discovery Park and the town of Sandwich was also rated with high importance.

The future of the Millennium Buildings was also questioned and it was widely felt that the buildings should only be retained if there is a productive use for them.

Visitors said that they felt more facilities such as doctors, dentists, childcare and education were required, but that the vision for Discovery Park is positive, with one tenant commenting: “Very exciting and just what is needed.”
