Drug research specialists Curadev are looking to make their next discoveries at Discovery Park, after agreeing to join one of Europe’s premier centres for science, technology and enterprise.

Formed in 2010, the company has its headquarters in India, recently launching a UK subsidiary specialising in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors with a mission to enhance the quality of human life.

In April 2015, Curadev won a contract from global pharma firm Roche, worth close to $555m to develop immuno-oncology drugs. Their arrival at Discovery Park further boosts the site as a centre of excellence for this area of research. Anna Stone, Leasing Director, Discovery Park, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Curadev to Discovery Park, and wish them every success – not least in the research they will be carrying out here.

“Discovery Park continues to set the pace for science with world class facilities that are the envy of science parks around the UK and expertise of scientists involved in all areas of research – from antibiotics to health care.

“We have a growing cluster of life science companies here involved in the research of immunotherapeutic approaches to disease, building up a reputation as a centre of excellence in this field.

The company is one of a number of general or science businesses to have joined the site in recent weeks or expanded their presence, helping to push the number of people employed at Discovery Park closer to 2,500.

Other new arrivals include, bringing together advice, reviews and patient experience, on cosmetic treatment and solicitors Alan Ashley and Co.

Among the latest success stories are BSPG Laboratories, CAT Project Solutions and Alliance Business Communications, which have either expanded into new space – or are about to over the coming weeks. There have also been two new additions to the StartUp Zone, which will shortly celebrate its 2nd birthday.

This is just one of many great stories from a site continuing to set the pace for #science + #enterprise in…
