Discovery Park’s part in Kent’s success as a film location

Posted on 15/02/16

The Kent Film Office has boosted the county’s economy by around £30m in almost five years, figures reveal.

Kent has more than 500 registered sites available to crews from around the world, including here at Discovery Park, most recently used as the main backdrop for TV drama, The Tunnel.

The 220 acre site has hosted a number of leading films and television series since 2012 including World War Z, starring Brad Pitt, with producers using offices and laboratories to show Angelina Jolie’s other half searching for a cure.

Leasing executive Lauren Moore, said: “Discovery Park is becoming something of a go to destination for production companies seeking the right backdrop for film and TV.”

This is just one of many great stories from a site continuing to set the pace for #science + #enterprise in #kenttwitter.com/i/web/status/8…
