Over 100 Three Lions fans (and at least one Welshman) watched the long awaited clash between England and Wales at Discovery Park on Thursday (16/6) afternoon.
The much anticipated Euros 2016 football championship match was screened in The Playroom at Innovation House with the 2-1 English victory in the French city of Lens sending them top of Group B.
While the event was free, visitors were asked to make donations to Kent homeless charity Porchlight, Discovery Park’s main charity for 2016 with added promotion for a charity football game being held in aid of Pilgrims Hospice at Deal Town FC next month.
Staff working over at Discovery Park House were also able to hot desk or just relax to watch the game in the comfort of the Java Cafe. Our catering team supplied a delicious range of snacks - from Nachos to garlic breads - to help ease the tension.
Discovery Park will continue its support of the UEFA championship with a selection of dishes linked to teams taking part for the rest of the tournament.
