Multi award winning insurance broker, Centor Insurance has staked a claim on success at Discovery Park with the opening of its new office today.

Since its formation in 1973 Centor have been administering bespoke insurance programmes for clients ranging from discerning private individuals to multi-national corporations.

The company’s head office is in the City of London, the global home of insurance and Discovery Park will be its first branch office outside of the capital.

The new operation will seek to build on its growing client base – not only at one of Europe’s leading business parks for science, technology and enterprise, but across Kent.

John Bellingan, Business Development Manager who will run the office with colleague Neil Templeton, said:

“We are excited to branch out in to Kent as it is a very important area for us, an area with sustainable growth and innovative people.

“It’s a very exciting venture for us, being our first office outside of London and we’re looking forward to providing an independent broker service to individuals and corporations across the county.

“I have known the site for some time, having worked in the area for the past three years as a member of Locate in Kent. It has a phenomenal atmosphere with creative and innovative people and companies. We’re looking forward to being part of that.”

Anna Stone, Leasing Director, Discovery Park, said:

“Centor Insurance are one of the UK’s leading insurance companies and so it is a real coup for us to be chosen as the site of their first office outside of London.

“Discovery Park is a place for innovation whether it’s in science, technology or enterprise where businesses are given the space to thrive and it’s good to see Centor recognise the opportunities here.”

This is just one of many great stories from a site continuing to set the pace for #science + #enterprise in…
