When it comes to recruitment New Appointment Group (NAG) know how to seize an opportunity – and that’s has certainly been the case in its first three years at Discovery Park.
Since moving on to site in 2013, New Appointment Group’s first floor Innovation House offices have not only secured top people for Discovery Park tenants, but built their own success too – growing its team in the process.
The major independent and recruitment consultancy offers a range of support services with the emphasis on permanent and short term recruitment for a variety of sectors.
After being one of the first tenants to move into the park, following its renovation in 2013, NAG has seen Discovery Park grow, now with more than 150 companies on site.
Managing Director, Amanda Barnett, said that the community feel at the park was what really attracted the recruitment specialists to move on site, and the networking opportunities have been fantastic.
After being established in 1975 by Gerry and Pat Cassell, in their first office in Park Road, Sittingbourne, NAG has seen a number of changes, experiencing several recessions but still coming out fighting each time.
Managing Director, Amanda Barnett, has been with the company since 1999 and has been nurtured through the ranks, something she says NAG aims to do with all of its employees.
“We have a real family mentality here and that’s something Discovery Park has really helped to emphasise.
“In our three-year tenure we have seen a real community feel, but with a really professional edge. It’s great to be able to get to know businesses and just pop in to see people face-to-face, rather than having to make phone calls and wait for emails.
“You actually are able to build up a relationship with other businesses across a broad range of sectors, it makes life a lot easier.”
