Teaming up to raise money for LandAid

Posted on 17/06/15

Here at Discovery Park, we love getting into the fundraising spirit and doing fun things to raise money for charity. So when the opportunity came up for us to take part in a 10k run to raise money for LandAid, a charity supported by the property industry, we knew we had to take it.

After the success of last year’s event, the charity run returned to Regent’s Park in London. This year, I teamed up with Danielle from our accounts team to don our running trainers and raise money for disadvantaged young people in the UK.

Although our team wasn’t the most experienced runners, we were willing to give it our best shot.

On the morning of the run, we were a bit nervous. But the sun was shining, the atmosphere was buzzing, and in the end, we managed to finish in 1 hour 15 minutes – a pretty good time for us beginners!

We’ve raised over £400 for charity so far - I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported us. If you’d like to donate, there’s still time! Visit my JustGiving page.

Now I’m off to book my next running venture…
