The latest arrival at Discovery Park is definitely a cut above the rest.

Harris and Waterman opened the site’s first barbers this week on the first floor of Innovation House.

Owners, Oliver Waterman and Jack Harrism have 12 years of experience in the industry between them – and already show off their style at shops in Herne Bay and Broadstairs.

They now intend to bring a touch of extra style to their fellow tenants here at Discovery Park – with a determination to be a real part of the community.

“We took the space at Discovery Park to offer men another option to wasting their weekend in the barber shop queues,” said Oliver.

“By coming to us, they can be out making the most of them.”

“In our view, a good barber is someone who loves what they do for a job, who wants to spend time on a client’s hair and want them to feel they have had care and attention.”

The first two days saw a flurry of activity with a cautious start in the style stakes. Trim back and sides were the cuts of choice.

Oliver, added: “We are very excited to be in Discovery Park. It’s a busy and buzzing place that can only get bigger and better.”

The barber duet plan to get involved in as many events as possible on site to show off who they are (and what they can do).
