Discovery Park promotes local career prospects at Dover Skills Fair

Posted on 20/11/15

Discovery Park was one of more than 40 companies that attended the Dover Skills Fair on Thursday 19th November. Organised by Skills 4 Dover, the fair aimed to guide those considering vocational training, apprenticeships and higher education.

With a real focus on local development and regeneration projects, the fair actively encouraged engagement between local employers and new employees. Around 3,000 new jobs are due to be created in the Dover District through the town centre and waterfront regeneration, making the fair a great platform to promote the opportunity to learn

The careers fair’s specific skill zones covered industries from construction to leisure, with Discovery Park’s Enterprise Zone leading the science zone, joined by East Kent College, University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University. The team were promoting careers in one of the largest science and technology parks in Europe and advising on National Careers Service job profiles such as Biochemist, Biomedical Scientist and Research Scientist.
