MiddletonMurray’s acclaimed Traineeship programme was the subject of a feature on youth employment in last night’s ‘Inside Out” programme on BBC South East and two learners, Eleanor Brommett and Ben Roberts were the undoubted ‘stars of the show’.
We are delighted with the BBC’s film as it captured perfectly the essence of what our Traineeship Programme is about - helping young people to start their careers. Our learners who took part in the filming especially Eleanor and Ben, did exceptionally well and were a credit to themselves, to their families and to MiddletonMurray. — Angela Middleton ‘Inside Out’ is a half hour current affairs feature and each BBC region has its own programme which is broadcast in a prime time slot - 7.30pm on BBC One. Last night’s BBC South East programme will be available for 30 days on the BBC iPlayer.
Following discussions with the producer Sarah Brinicombe; the BBC and MiddletonMurray teamed up to do a feature on youth employment, concentrating on the learners undertaking the MiddletonMurray Traineeship programme at our offices in Sidcup but also featuring some of the learners at our Sandwich office. Filming started in November on the first day of the seven week Traineeship programme and the ‘Inside Out’ cameras then followed the progress of two of our young learners, Eleanor and Ben as they took their first steps on the employment ladder.
Speaking about the ‘Inside Out’ feature Angela Middleton said ”we are delighted with the BBC’s film as it captured perfectly the essence of what our Traineeship Programme is about - helping young people to start their careers. Our learners who took part in the filming especially Eleanor and Ben, did exceptionally well and were a credit to themselves, to their families and to MiddletonMurray.”
Angela continued, ”I would like to thank Sarah, presenter Natalie Graham and all their colleagues at the BBC for their enthusiasm and for the empathetic way they worked with our Learners. Finally I would like to thank all of the staff at MiddletonMurray who helped to make this feature such a success and give a special mention to our Trainer, Ben Mason whose cohort were featured in the film.”
